Chief Information Officer (CIO)
Paul Orlando has been in the financial services industry for more than 30 years, holding leadership roles at United Shore Financial Services, Flagstar Bank, and Standard Federal Bank. He has experience in both the technical and financial aspects of mortgage banking through various positions in Information Technology and Finance. At Home Point, Paul is responsible for the strategy and integration of the digital platforms for optimal performance and customer service.
As Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer at United Shore Mortgage, he was responsible for planning and orchestrating the company’s systems and technology infrastructure into an industry leader. This included building a best-in-class, scalable Loan Origination System that set the foundation for the company to grow from $2.5B in origination volume to over $20B annually.
At Flagstar Bank, Paul was the Senior Vice President of Application Development with a focus on their lending systems and data warehousing. During his tenure, he was responsible for installing a document management system that allowed the company to move to a paperless loan origination process.
Prior to Flagstar, Paul was an Assistant Vice President at Standard Federal Bank where he oversaw cost accounting and streamlining operations to improve processes, increase efficiencies, and reduce the overall cost of the operation.
In addition to his work experience, Paul has been a member of the Fannie Mae CIO Executive Forum for the last 5 years and has been a member of the MBA Residential Technology committee for over ten years. The relationships he has built with key technology vendors in the industry has allowed him to focus on improving the home lending process through collaboration and best practices across the mortgage banking spectrum.
Paul earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a minor in Finance from the University of Detroit.
